Diversity Charter - at KNAUER

Initially kept secret by management and officially announced at KNAUER's summer festival on June 29th, 2017, KNAUER signed the Diversity Charter in May, 2017.

The charter of diversity is a corporate initiative to promote diversity in companies and institutions. Federal Chancellor Dr. Angela Merkel is the patron. The Commissioner of the Federal Government for Migration, Refugees and Integration, Aydan Özoğuz, supports the initiative. The initiative aims to promote the recognition, appreciation and inclusion of diversity in corporate culture in Germany.

Organizations should create a work environment that is free from prejudice. "We are proud to be one of 2600 companies that are committed to these values. We are cosmopolitan, we stand for diversity and we want to live not only within our organization, but we also commit ourselves to the values of diversity, "says the managing director Alexandra Knauer.

KNAUER has been developing, producing and distributing its high-tech laboratory instruments over a large international retail network since 1962. KNAUER has lived diversity for many years, regardless of origin, religion or gender. Equality is obvious at KNAUER, as Managing Director Alexandra Knauer, herself a mother of two, is a progressive example. She strongly supports the compatibility of family and work and does not hesitate to promote gender equality. For example, she recently promoted several women to management positions. The signing of the charter fits perfectly into the company's corporate image and the associated value presentation.
