The DC mode is the most easy mode for an electrochemical detector. A constant potential is used for the E-cell. This mode is charactzerized by
- Most sensitive measurements for most applications using a Glassy carbon electrode
- Constant potential (Ecell)
- Detection of ‘easy to oxidize’ aromatic compounds (π-resonance) like Catecholamines, Phenols, Aminophenols
- Use of ‘inert electrode materials’ like Glassy Carbon, Boron-doped Diamond
