HPLC Method Development Online Training

HPLC Method Development training

Step by step, the course introduces all important foundations and the tools to perform an independent method development including column screening.

Target audience

The course is suitable for users with basic HPLC and very basic natural science knowledge.

Goal of the training

This course starts with theoretical background in chemistry and physics, which are important for success in method development. The course participant will learn to gain information already from the molecule structure or what to do if there is no information about the analyte. Afterwards, all steps from planning the method development to a robust method will be described and discussed. At the end of the course, the participant will be able to independently plan and perform a method development.

Topics

  • Molecule structure
  • Pilot tests
  • Column types
  • Limits of the mostly used column materials
  • NP or RP
  • Instrumental requirements for a column screening
  • Step by step column screening procedure
  • Chemical and physical adjusting capabilities
  • Finding the best combination of parameters
  • Robustness of a method
