If a pump was not in operation for a long time, e.g. it was stored prior to installation for several weeks , a running-in procedure might be necessary to obtain the best pump performance. The pump needs to operate against a fair back pressure in order to show optimal performance. Please follow the instructions given in the document "Running-in procedure for pump heads"
