KNAUER´s UNEXAS (Universal Extraction And Sample Preparation) system enables automation and minimization of solid phase extraction in routine analysis and method development. Our UNEXAS system is applicable in pharmaceutical, forensic, food, diagnostic, or environmental analysis.

The entire process is completely automated, this includes sample injection, solid phase extraction (SPE), and chromatographical analysis. After the extraction phase is completed, the direct elution of the extracted samples on the column will take place. These features makes it possible for UNEXAS to not only reach a high sample throughput, but it is also no longer necessary to manually interfere while in operation. While the HPLC part records a chromatogram, the SPE part prepares the next sample.

The various possibilities to carry out the rinsing process aid in drastically minimizing the threat of sample displacement. UNEXAS is offered together with online cartridges that are optimized for high extraction capacity specifically for low liquid bodies. Several valve switching combinations deliver the required flexibility so that complicated sample extractions can be developed. For example, sample extraction is possible with matrix loaded samples.
