KNAUER's 45th Anniversary Celebration was a Memorable Event
The company's history was combined with Berlin's cultural highlights into an unforgettable program. The family-owned business celebrated its 45th anniversary on October 1, 2007.

Owner and Managing Director Alexandra Knauer and Managing Director Dr. Alexander Bünz had the pleasure of welcoming almost 200 guests and customers from the research, science and manufacturing industries to KNAUER's 45th anniversary celebration held in Berlin on October 1st. The program consisted of an un-usual mix of elements that combined Berlin's touristic highlights with an interesting variety of HPLC topics.
The celebration was kicked off with an exclusive guided tour of this year's most popular art exhibition in Berlin, "Die schönsten Franzosen", the New York Metropolitan Museum of Art's collection of 18th century French masters, currently on loan at the New National Gallery in Berlin.
Guests also had the opportunity to take a tour of KNAUER's headquarters in Berlin and participate in the scientific program which included lectures on the latest developments from KNAUER, product demonstrations, as well as discussions with prominent experts on laboratory efficiency and the future of HPLC.
Since KNAUER is not just interested in celebrating the past, a "futurologist" was also invited to discuss trends and possible future scenarios for our world and KNAUER in an entertaining presentation. Participants were able to vote on what future trends they saw as probable and had the chance to win "virtual" prizes to be awarded in the future.
The anniversary celebration was topped off with a feast for the eyes and ears, as well as the stomach: a gourmet Italian dinner, accompanied by a live stage show. The stage show involved a combination of opera and cabaret, including special appearances by the company's founders, Roswitha Knauer (as "Contessa Knauer") and Dr. Herbert Knauer (as "Count Knauer"), who with the help of heroic KNAUER customers were able to calm a jealous lover.
All in all, the anniversary event was a resounding success and a memorable experience for all participants. KNAUER management is determined to build on its past tradition to reach its future goals including continuous growth while keeping all instrument manufacturing within Germany, to further develop sales in emerging markets as well as in the OEM business. As many of our customer's know, KNAUER's strength is in this mix of innovation and tradition.
