| In most cases, knowledge in thermodynamical and kinetic connections is required in order to optimize a preparative separation. IsothermFit® enables software supported determination of linear and non-linear isotherms in highly concentrated areas. The software calculates and applies various methods for determination. A few of these methods applied to achieve various adsorption isotherms are the linear retention time method, the Elution by a Characteristic Point method (ECP), or the Minor Disturbance Method (MDM). In turn, it deals with extended equations of the well-known Langmuir isotherms. The results are the most important input data needed for the simulation software SMB_Guide®, which enables the interpretation of SMB processes to be simulated and optimized. | ||
